Wildlife and enhancement of the environment is very important to us. We are enrolled into the new Countryside Stewardship Scheme which means we plant 20ha of pollen, nectar and food rich plots around the farm to keep the birds and bees happy over the winter.

We have a growing population of wild English partridge which is very exciting and encouraging the species back into the area.

In total there is 14.5ha of managed mixed species woodland of which 13ha has been planted since 1984.

All grass margins are voluntary measures to protect the water courses and offer a buffer for wildlife to roam freely.
